Energy - Mobility - Processes

The “Energy - Mobility - Processes” (EMP) research cluster is regarded as an internal university research network of Faculty I (Electrical Engineering and Information Technology) and Faculty II (Department of Mechanical Engineering) with the two institutes IKME and IVEK. This combination forms and optimal base for the research and development of new innovative products and processes in the socio-politically important areas of energy supply, energy efficiency, mobility and process and plant technology. Through the interdisciplinary approach, the linking of scientific and technical competences from the fields of information processing, automation technology, energy engineering, construction and process engineering, application-oriented new approaches to solutions and developments are made which are of high social relevance.
