Industrial Engineering (WIM)
The general aim of the Bachelor's degree course WIM is to provide a scientifically sound, application-oriented education in industrial engineering, which optimally prepares graduates for a successful professional life.
The reason for the development of this degree course at the Hochschule Hannover – University of Applied Sciences and Arts was that all areas of the economy (industry, services, trade) increasingly include activities that require knowledge and skills in natural sciences, engineering, economics, law and languages in equal measure.
In addition to the subject content, the degree course ensures the teaching of social, economic and interdisciplinary skills that are essential for a successful professional life. Many courses combine the practice of key qualifications, such as independent work, teamwork, moderation and presentation skills.
Elective modules allow students to deepen their knowledge according to their inclination. The standard period of study is seven semesters, including the practical phase and completion of the Bachelor's thesis.
