Good reasons for studying at the Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts
What makes studying at the Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HsH) special? Five young women and men talk about what you can study, learn, discover and experience at the HsH. All five are Bachelor or Master students at the five faculties at the university. They have already gathered a variety of experiences: Completed internships, lived through semesters abroad, mastered projects, exams and theses. And of course they have also enjoyed leisure activities on the campus and in the city of Hannover.
What sets us apart...
Faculty II - Mechanical and Bioprocess Engineering offers a diverse range of engineering and scientific degree courses. In the Bachelor's degree courses leading to professional qualification and in the consecutive Master's degree courses, teaching is characterised by a high academic and scientific level, by a high level of practical relevance in the form of laboratories and projects, and by a personal supervisory atmosphere. The professionally qualifying Bachelor's degree courses offer a sound scientific and information technology foundation and also a wide range of opportunities for individual subject specialisation and internationalisation. The faculty also offers four dual Bachelor's degree courses and one dual Master's degree course.
Faculty II - Mechanical and Bioprocess Engineering is a competent contact in the region for mechanical engineering and process engineering issues. We actively seek contact with companies in the region, e.g. by supervising practical semesters and theses, and we are open to questions that come to us from this environment. We successfully carry out research and development projects with companies in the Hanover Region.
Faculty II - Mechanical and Bioprocess Engineering - demonstrates its significant research strength with three research clusters that increase the existing innovation potential and optimally link scientific know-how:
- Bio-plastics
- Energy - Mobility - Processes: Sustainability through interdisciplinary networking and optimisation
- Sustainable quality of life (foodstuff)
Faculty II bundles its competences in Institutesin order to develop and implement new approaches to solutions and innovations in the various disciplines. In doing so, both the regional economy and doctoral students are involved in a large number of research projects. Doctorates already completed within the framework of cooperative procedures prove the high quality of education at the Hochschule Hannover – University of Applied Sciences and Arts and its institutes. The results and findings of research and development are used for the continuous professional development of academic teaching.
Faculty II - Mechanical and Bioprocess Engineering - works together with international partner universities. Our double degree courses, courses taught in English and the exchange of lecturers characterise our high level of commitment. "Incoming" and "outgoing" students are closely supervised and receive further professional, linguistic and cultural training.
